Keli celebrates Memorial Day part 2 May 2015

In 2014 I went to my cousin's river lot in WV. I saw this camper.
It was still there in 2015...

so I decided to go in it and see what was inside.

I do not think anyone even realized I was gone from the family gathering and all I had to do was yank the door and it came open.

inside was tons of junk laying around like this...

 this...

they either LOVED that print or it was on clearance.

 window..

did this used to be a paper towel holder?

I tried to open this.. I could not, which is probably a good thing.

 drawer full of junk.

 drawer full of silverware..

window with a Dale Earnhardt picture on it.

THIS STOVE a teenage at church told me today that it looked artsy. :)

INSIDE THE STOVE.. the teenager at church and I were trying to figure out what this was all about. We finally decided it is something's nest.

oh and then there is this... I mean it IS a body right????????????? none of my cousin's would go back and check. The teenager at church said , we could go back and film us opening it..

I know it is not REALLY a body.. but still DO YOU WANT TO GO BACK AND UNWRAP IT..???

 good bye abandoned trailer..

my cousin said it has been sitting there many years but that he bets if someone took it then the owner would be over there in a second..

Keli celebrates Memorial Day May 2015

I went to my cousin's river lot for Memorial Day 2015. My friend Noah let me ride his four wheeler...but um I was too scared to even start it.

So my cousin Mark took me for a ride on it.

but you know I posed on it like I rode it hahaahhahahah
It would have been nice if the person knew how to take a freaking picture.

friendly Keli May 2015

My friends Marian and Vern came in town from Utah in May 2015. This year I introduced them to two places.

1. The National Harbor. I thought it would be fun to go up in The Ferris Wheel. Marian and Vern thought it would be fun to go to the outlet mall. They had SO MUCH fun there! I was happy too because I was towards the end of a really good book so I just sat on a bench and finished it :) When we got back in the car. Vern was so nice he said that since I really wanted to read my book that HE WOULD READ IT OUT LOUD TO ME! Marian did not hear that part of the conversation so it was a bit funny when Vern started reading and Marian was like what are you talking about????? I said he is reading my book outloud! We never did make it to the Ferris Wheel but we made it to Cadillac Ranch. That had  been on my bucket list for awhile so I am glad that we went.

2. Dangerously Delicious Pies. I went here with my friend MIchelle a couple of years ago. I thought Marian and Vern may enjoy it. The one Michelle and I went to was nice and had seats and such. The one Marian and Vern and I went to was not like that, we had to take our pie down the street and eat at a park with a bunch of homeless people, we did not mind because the pie was good and it was great to catch up.

Here we are outside of Dangerously Delicious Pies. I am so grateful to have The Fielding Family as a part of my life and so glad that I am friends with them. I am just SO LUCKY!

Keli travels Memphis part 39 May 2015

I think that the ONLY reason that Melinda and I spent ONLY six hours at Graceland is because we had to get to The Civil Rights Museum in the same day.

It is located at The Lorraine Motel.

which is famous because this is where Martin Luther King Jr. was assasinated.

that wreath is at the exact spot where it happened.

they have replicas of the car he had and of the car that his friends had at the time parked outside.

 The front of the museum.

these are statues of people waiting to get on the bus.

me riding the bus with Rosa Parks.

 ROSA PARKS

this picture did not come out well..but I kinda like how it looks.

 statues of people protesting.

people sitting at the lunch counter.

 a burning bus.

this reminds me of Forrest Gump.

 more statues.

the room where MLKJs friends stayed.

 the room where he stayed.

where he walked out onto the balcony.

 view from the window..

view the assasin had. They had a whole exhibit about him across the street.

 I love this quote.

This museum was very sad. It is hard to believe that those things went on in America and are still going on. I am glad that we went.

Keli travels Memphis part 38 May 2015

This is it. This is the end of my Graceland posts from May 2015. I will go back one day. I know this because I am not married yet. I know that the man I marry will need to go back. I also hope to have kids sometime in my 40s and they will need to go. I do not know when I will be back, but it will be neat to see how different it will be from when I went this time.

Here are more pictures from the Elvis car museum.
 this car

 I like this one.
I wonder if this billboard ever actually was up in Memphis.

 this car.

more stuff I need to buy from Amazon that I could not get at the gift shop because I was so broke by that time.

I really liked this. I mean it is part of the whole Elvis nostalgia... him giving away cars to people and such.

We next went to the planes. It was so worth it to go tour the planes! They cost extra and there is rumor that they will not be at Graceland much longer. I am so grateful we got to tour them.

 inside the plane.

Elvis needed to watch TV at ALL TIMES.

 everything was covered in plastic.

 table on the plane.

 chair covered in plastic

I had no idea they had phones back then.

his other plane "the hound dog"

oh and to get to all these diffrent places you followed these blue suede shoes.. or well blue foot prints.

so that is all. All of Graceland for now.

BUT NOT ALL OF TN. I still  have something else to write about.
