I read Tatum O'Neal's bio. I will admit I knew nothing about Tatum before I read this book, I did enjoy it and have a respect for this woman and think that she is doing GREAT considering all that she has been through... and I think she was telling the truth about John McEnroe and her dad...( I think I need to also admit that I am into celebrity bio's:))
I'm Keli I explore. I create. I believe. sometimes Spike comes with me.

Cowgirl Keli!Cache County Fair and Rodeo 2009!~
Cindy and I in front of a fake
horse
Cindy and I went to the Cache County Fair and Rodeo last night. I want to take this time to say I really like fairs and I like rodeos, if I had someone to go with I would go to things like this more often.
Cindy and I got to the fair and walked around the booths, there was a booth selling big flowers and headbands and caps that you can put on your baby or little girl. Cindy and I both stated that we hope that these things are still in style when we have little girls. They are just SO CUTE! we stopped at a few booths, Cindy bought two large rings and two different booths. I always wonder about those people that sit there in those booths, I hope that they make enough money to cover there costs of being there.
For dinner we looked at all the booths selling food and decieded on the gyro booth, Cindy got a gyro and I got a DELICIOUS philly cheese steak. A couple booths down I got a limeaide that some kids made right in front of me fresh, it was SO GOOD! that Cindy got two:) ( one then and one later) we met up with Cindy's family. ( mother, father, sister, and two nephews) We all shared a yummy funnel cake and chatted.
Cindy and I then went over and looked at the stuff that people had entered, I had a goal last year of entering SOMETHING in the fair, I did not make that goal. I have changed a lot since last year and I really hope to achieve that goal of entering SOMETHING in the fair. It will probably be baked goods but I would really like to achieve this. We went over to the 4H area. I think that 4H is AMAZING, those kids work so hard to make all those things, I look so forward to being a mom and having children and having them involved with 4H! We went and looked at the animals, That is another part of 4H that I look forward to my kids raising animals. I think that will be a really neat thing to do with my children. I saw someone in my ward who has kids involved in 4H and he told me to go and look at his daughters cookies that she won grand champion for. I did not I had all ready been in there and well a cookie is a cookie from the looks of it... Cindy and I went over to the rodeo grounds and waited for her family. The rodeo was great, we saw bareback riding, bronco riding, bull riding, team roping, BARREL RACING ( l like that one) steer wrestling, calf roping, and MUTTON BUSTIN! the only thing I don't like about the rodeo is the CLOWN... I can't stand that kind of humor... I also want to have my little kids involved in mutton bustin and all that stuff, Cindy said that one day in the future it would be a busy day for me at the fair, I would have kids raising animals for 4H and kids baking and making things for 4H. I know that I will be a much prouder parent than that guy in my ward, so I would probably MAKE someone go see my daughters cookies hahahaha... and I would have my daughter in rodeo royalty and kids team ropin and kids mutton bustin. I think that sounds like a GREAT DAY! so a great time was had by all at the Cache County Fair

Quote
Quote I found yesterday while reading the August 2009 Ensign
" Distractions and discouragement are some of Satans most effective tools. He finds ways to help us make excuses about why we can't do this or that. He gets us involved in wasting our time and resouces in things that lead us away from improving our lives and developing our talents. He blurs our focus by diverting our attention. This can happen to the very best of you.

story time
So today on FB I read about how my friend Dan wore his underwear backward accidently and had issues using the bathroom. It reminded me of something I did last fall, I had these black boots that were leather and zipped up they had went almost to my knee and had square toes...I must have gained weight at some point in my legs because they were getting harder and harder to zip up, which prompted my friend Cindy and I to muse, how does one squeeze in a LEG??? I mean seriously??? so one day I was running late for work so I put them on, and was walking around work and I kept thinking that something felt wierd... like something...but I thought maybe it was just because Marian and I had been exercising.. so I am at work walking around, talking to people... and then on my FIRST BREAK I went to the bathroom looked down and all of a sudden realized that my boots were on the WRONG FEET.... YES those square toes made them look the same... so instead of changing them I went and told my friend Bartley and he said HOW EMBARRASING!!!!!!!!!DONT TELL ANYONE.... but of course I had to tell everyone... I did change them after I showed Bartley though.. and believe me my legs and feet felt much better!

field trip
Yesterday I went down to Provo, Utah It was a nice drive down, I barely ran into any traffic THEN I got off the center street exit in Provo....(most of things that I need to go to in Provo are really far off the freeway exits.. just saying) so I am driving in the middle lane going the speed limit when all of a sudden this big truck going really fast smashed up against my car... I did not even have a chance to process that a BIG TRUCK JUST HIT ME!!!! because HE KEPT GOING!!! so I called 911 and started following him and he sped up and turned a corner I thought for sure that I was going to get in a real wreck just chasing him down... He finally stopped and rolled down his window and was like YOU HIT MY CAR, then he started screaming at me.... I thought YEAH I HIT YOUR CAR THAT IS WHY YOU KEPT GOING!!!!!!! So the police show up, all this guy did was bent my mirror back and left a tiny dent in my car and broke the glass out of my mirror..and my mirror put a tiny dent in his car. Neither of us got charged, he did have an expired license though....and we exchanged insurance info... and that was that...
I went over to The Combs house. They have a really nice house, built in the 1950s. Their daughter Verena is SO CUTE! she is almost eight months old. We went over to North Park in Provo, they had a pioneer day celebration going on there.. here is what all they had
1. farmers market/crafts you can buy.... we did not buy anything or stop at any booths
2 a bunch of old cars, NOTHING SAYS PIONEER DAY LIKE CLASSIC CARS....IDK why these were there... but I took a picture of one...
3. a bunch of booths where they sold food, we did not even walk over too
all the missionaries probably in that zone were there running different things, I guess that was the best proselyting activity they had that day...I mean tons of people were there
4. We had Verena do this calf roping activty and pose with a wanted poster it was cute:)
5. there was a whole pioneer village set up, they had a ton of cool stuff but Verena is still really little... and it was HOT so we did some stuff and took some pictures
after that celebration we took Verena back and she took a nap and Elizabeth and I went to the BYU cremery and got a yummy lunch.
I went and visited my friend Echo and her family in Orem that was really nice:)
I drove up to Sandy and met Diane,( who I taught on my mission and is STILL active was in town) We ate at the Mayan...it was expensive! The people I was with was worth the cost though:) I drove back home:)
