Field Trip

In January, Carrie and I went to DC one Friday and visited the Freer and Sackler galleries. There was SNOW on the GROUND AND it was CLOUDY ... so basically all of DC was immobilized for the day..We took the metro into DC and had a nice time looking around the museum. There were more security guards there than people. They were all standing around talking, joking with each other. We saw a lot of neat Asian art. We some paintings by Whistler. I asked if they had Whistler's mother there. The security guard said IDK about his mother...but his mistress is right in there....There is also a whole peacock room that he designed there. The gift shop had a sale on and I got some chopsticks, a magical fortune telling fish and some little Asian men sitting and reading..but not magnet...they had none. Still a good day though.
