Did you know that Salt Lake City, Utah has a " China town"  ..well IT DOES..or at least a shopping center with all Asian shops..Jorge and Carla really wanted to go to a Chinese buffet and we found this one on Google..while Jorge was working on his fifth plate or so..Taylor and I went out and walked around and took pictures.. it was a great time

PS : NEVER LET A KID TRY AND DO A BUFFET ALONE!! they will get something like a whole plate of those yummy donuts..and then you will have to explain how that is just not OK..

More fun at The Leonardo in Salt Lake City, Utah -they had so many interactive things. Since we were there during the week we were some of the only people there and got a lot of attention. IF YOU ARE EVER IN SALT LAKE CITY.. this museum is a MUST!!!

Taylor really enjoyed The Leonardo Museum...but her FAVORITE things was the ESCALATOR.. she had never been on one before and just had so much fun going up and down at first she didn't want to without me..but pretty soon she was even able to stand backwards ..

so while Carla & Jorge explored the museum more in depth..Taylor rode the escalator and I read my book..fun times :) life's simple pleasures!

All though I was having loads of fun and making memories in Cache Valley.. Lewiston, in particular.. I had to move on.. I had to continue my vacation.. on a whim I asked my friends Carla and Jorge if they would give me a ride to Salt Lake and too sweeten the pot. I added that we could check out this really cool Science and Technology museum that is "new" to SLC called The Leonardo.. the had JUST finished a popular exhibit about mummies and were supposed to have one about inventions but they said that was not "ready in time" oh well we still had a lot of fun.. When we first got there we were the only ones there.. They had a hands on area and in these pictures we are 1. stacking rocks in a pile to see how high that we could get them...Then we are drawing pictures on cardboard.. with chalk and then putting that on a stick.. and then we are making self-portraits. We also brought my friend Rachael's nine year old Taylor with us.. she had a lot of fun.. but I am not sure she had as much fun as Jorge.. who spent forever in this area he wanted to get everything just right.

My good friends Carla and Jorge have a little farm and they goats.. and lots of other things.. but this day at this time.. My good friend Taylor and I went over and took pictures and hung out with Carla and Jorge..

I sent this picture to Taylor's mom Rachael today and she said that she missed our crafts days and that " I am so creative" I miss my friends in Utah.. but when I go there I miss Virginia.. I have met so many people so many places I am so grateful for social media and for technology that helps me keep in touch with all the people all the places I have been and all the people that I love.

and PS.. I think that Rachael is/was the creative one!

While in Lewiston, Utah, Kathy and I drove down some back roads to locate some family history places for her family..I love driving down country roads and just stopping and taking pictures.. maybe one day I'll have a nice camera and really know how to do it.
