so, so far that day in November 2013, Michelle and Kellie and I had been to two love signs, it was time for us to go to a third. 

This one is in Richmond International Raceway in Richmond, Virginia. It was so cool I had to take a lot of pictures of it.

On the same day that we went to the Spotsylvania Love sign, We also went to one in Ashland, VA this one was at a train station and the train came right by when we were there, I mean right by.

Keli works

In November 2013, Xander and Seban and I had a tool week.. I know I took pictures.. who knows where they went. 

 here is Xander.

We had a great week, my Aunt Diane gave me an old stump and I brought that to work and we pounded nails into it..and then took them out with a real hammer. 

We also worked all week screwing and unscrewing things We worked with lots of nuts and bolts and all sorts of other things 

Even though I don't have that much photographic evidence it was a pretty cool week! :)

My friend Michelle and I went to the US Botanic Gardens in November 2013. If you have never been, you need to go. It was beautiful in November so I am sure it is amazing at anytime of year. Here are some pictures that we took.

 Michelle and I and The  Thousand Bloom Chrysanthemum. They only grow two of these this one and one in PA. I felt honored that we got to be there and see it when it was in bloom.

Michelle and I went to this place in DC that was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dive's it is called Tune Inn. 

 Here it is.

 Michelle and I are waiting for our food.. This place was yummy and had an interesting decor... stuff like deer butts on the wall and all sorts of other stuffed animals. Some of the animals if you shot them now would be illegal now..

Right by the restaurant we saw this 

 people had locked in their love. 

It was a nice fun lunch.

 

Keli Travels

In November 2013, Michelle and I went and visited Frederick Douglas's house in Washington DC. We drove right there and they had a great parking lot. 

They also have a wonderful bookstore and visitor center. We did have to schedule a time to tour the house and thank goodness we did because they were sold out! In November! They had to turn people away. 

Michelle and I did the jr. ranger program while we were waiting and watched a film about Frederick Douglas and had a lot of fun waiting for our tour to start. 

We then walked up the hill to his house. His house was amazing and what a view! 

 that does not really tell you how awesome it was. We had a great tour guide and really enjoyed ourselves on the tour.

I took the kids to a civil war site in Alexandria, VA called Ft. Ward. It is my second time going there and the kids enjoyed themselves. 

They had a large playground for the kids to play on ( because what civil war site is complete without a large playground. ) 

They also had a couple short movies that I made the kids watch in order to get a sticker, and they had a visitor center that we had fun looking around in.

There friends Katharine, Madeleine and Trinity ( and their mom's) came also

In November 2013 I decided to have a weather week. The kids loved it. I went to the teacher supply store and bought this weather kit for only about $6 and then every day we checked the weather and talked about it. 

 Seban is telling you that, that day it was sunny.

 this is before I got schooled that we always must have celsius up there too.

 Seban and the weather station. Can  you believe it was 65 F. in November, we had no idea what we were in for.

 We also put a bar of Ivory soap in the microwave if you do that it blows up and makes a "cloud" 

 here is what it will look like.

it also made a huge mess. It took me forever to clean up and soap flakes got up our noses and made us sneeze a lot. I think I will do something like that outside next time so I only have to clean up the microwave.

 We tried to make a cloud in a jar.. but I accidentally brought the wrong kind of shaving cream! 

and I made collages..

I think they had a fun week.

In November 2013, We went hiking in Marshall, Virginia at Wildcat Mountain. It was an interesting hike because it had no summit. It did have two abandoned  houses though so of course I explored both of them.

 plus I wrote my name on the wall with all these other old signatures.. and I kinda worried about it.. but not really I mean it adds to the ambiance right..?
