In October 2013 I had a jump rope week with Xander and Seban. 

It rained a lot that week so we had to do a lot of jump roping inside ( yay for high ceilings) 

Seban and Xander each got to two consectutive jumps 

I got to FIFTY... I surprised even myself! 

I also taught them to jump over the jump rope when two people are swinging it and to just jump around it when you put it on the floor like a snake..

 I bought us some jump ropes at the dollar store that I spent the whole week tying back together..but they worked..

Keli Travels

 In October 2013 Monica and I watched conference together and inbetween sessions we went to this little known place right between Centrevlle and Manassas. 

I had been reading a book that had a rope swing.. I wondered if there were any rope swings around here.. I heard there might be one at this place.. we might as well go and check it out...

So we drove over there.. and we did find the rope swing.. and the rock that you could stand on to swing off of it... but a HUGE tree had fallen during one of the storms and it was right where you would land.. and well someone had cut the rope swing.. I guess so people did not get hurt...

We did see a fly fisherman though... no idea you could fly fish in Centreville, VA... We saw signs that said you could canoe or kayak there .. that would be fun!

Keli parties - Hair Chalk Party October 2013

 I  had a little party at my friend Monica's house where we decieded to chalk our hair the only people that showed up were 

me,

her daughter Lexi, 

and 

her son Nate

so basically all the people that lived at the house at the time...

I learned a lot of things about hair chalk.. well maybe just some things

like if you have dark hair it does not really show up.. and Monica is from Guatemala and her kids are half Guatemalan and they have dark hair.. my hair is dyed dark.. so we had to run the chalk over and over and over our hair.. for it to show up.. then it would not in pictures unless I instagrammed the pictures then it still did not REALLY show up...

but it was good company and we had a fun time...

One day in October 2013, Xander and Seban and I decided to walk into the Del Ray area of Alexandria and try go to one of my favorite hot chocolate places "Artfully Chocolate" they have ice cream too! 

Their friend Madeleine and her little sister Trinity, along with their mom Vera decided to go with us..

it was a nice walk a beautiful day, good company and yummy ice cream...

I look forward to more nice days like this coming up soon!

In October 2013, I did a "playground games" week with Xander and Seban here are some of the things that we did 

I got out a bucket of chalk and had the kids do chalk drawings.. that is Xander, Seban and their friend Jack.( who is also a twin!)

 I taught them how to play four square.. or well some version of it.

We also played kickball..but I guess I did not get any good pictures of that..

Keli travels

I have always wanted to go to a " ren fest" .. but I have never had anyone to go with that would actually dress up and well you can't go unless you dress up right? 

In September 2013 I took my friend Jenae's daughter Dakota. We dressed up as Ladies.

So if you go to the Renaissance Festival.. something you really need to bring is your wallet.. because you will need to pay for admission and then you have to pay to eat..

and lots of places only take CASH and to say the line is LONG for the ATM that they have there is an UNDERSTATEMENT..if they DO take cards they will have a sign out that says they accept Master Card and Lady Visa.. :)

So we drove there and waited in a line of traffic to get in for an hour.. we parked WAY out in the parking lot in a field.. Here are some of the adventures that we had there..

We rode an elephant.. this was a CRAZY expense.. we paid per person to ride the elephant thenwe had to ride with other people.. and I asked the worker to take pictures with my camer and I got this one...

 They had these amazing hammocks for sale.. I wish I had extra money for these.. but I did not but I WANT ONE!

 I bought us each swords.. and then paid extra to get our names written on them with a sharpie..but you have to admit.. they name thing is really cute!!!!

 We went gem mining.. Dakota REALLY wanted to do this and it was fun when I did it with Michelle. This time it was a little different.. They gave us a bag of sand and we did the same as we did in Luray but we only got a few big things.. none as big as what Michelle got in Luray though..and no little chips.

 I WAS BEYOND EXCITED TO ME "the other Bolyn Girl" Mary Bolyn!!!!!! after reading all those books by Phillipa Gregory that was SO COOL .. it was like meeting a character from a book!..

 We also met this character who told us that he is married to his first and only wife Queen Katharine of Aragon and would never marry anyone BUT her .. mmmmmhmmm....

 and we saw this guy... hahahahh if you don't know who that guy on this shirt is then maybe the best course would be to tread lightly...

I had to get that picture because the next night was the finale..

 When we got back to Dakota's house we had a sword fight..

and this picture is blurry but Bridger told me that the next time I go to a festabal he wants to go an dhe is gonna dress-up...

oh and I guess the whole time I was there Ralph was there..but he got a new job..

 Ralph is a Dragon Master now.. so good for him...
