I did not realize how much I blended in with this love sign..It was a very sunny day and there were several people there so I am lucky that I got these pictures.

I love these love signs. I am having a lot of fun finding them and taking my pictures with them.

Keli celebrates Halloween 2013 part two

I love Halloween this year I wanted to do something "haunted" in October.

My first idea was going to a ghost tour in Manassas but that was sold out so instead I went to Cox Farm Field of Fear with my friends Kellie and Monica. 

It was a really cold night for October, but we still had a great time. We went on a fun hayride where we went through a zombie zoo. a couple of barns and drove through a creek. 

We walked through a really fun maze. It had timed tickets and we could only go on way and it took us all through buildings and doors and all sorts of weird unexpected stuff that was really interesting and fun. 

I am glad we went and look forward to doing something "haunted" in October 2014.

I have a goal to one day have my house all clean and then to decorate it for every holiday..and it will happen.. every day I get closer to my clean house.. EVERY DAY..

Xander and Seban lived in a really cool neighborhood in Alexandria. Several of their neighbors decorated their houses for Halloween and the boys loved when we walked home looking at the house's a couple times when we went places we even found other houses that were decorated.

Seban would get very excited and say " That house is ready for Halloween!!!!!" 

Here are some pictures I took of them and their friend Madeliene when we were walking home one from school one day in October 2013. 

 I love this house.. doesn't it look llike something off Pinterest!? with the black and white pumpkins?? and you can not see it but the pumpkins have gold tacks in them.. so cool... 

 after I took that picture the kids really wanted a picture with this one.. and the big spiderweb...

it was a nice day and the kids had a lot of fun posing at these houses.

 sIn October 2013 I took the boys on the ferry from Old Town Alexandria over to the National Harbor. While we were on there we continued our card game week by learning to play Old Maid. Some people saw these pictures on FB and thought I rented out this whole ferry for myself and the boys... which is of course is what I did.. ..In reality some older brothers on a vacation to visit their brother's grave in the Arlington Cemetary were on the ride over, and a teenage black kid that worked at the ferry ticket office. I asked him to play Old Maid with us and he said "yes" he had never played before. 

 The ferry is on it's way over to pick us up in Old Town Alexandria. 

 I don't know which picture I liked better so I put them  both up.

 I guess our ferry was called " The Lady Josephine" 

 Old Maid.

 Xander said " I am very mean" because he ended up with The Old Maid" and well that was so unfair he did not want her...

 but he still posed for  picture for me when we got off the boat.

I was driving down my very own street  in October 2013 and saw that someone had put this out on the curb..

 I felt like.. I need that...

 So I spray painted it red and put it out in my yard.. 

 here it is by the bush in my yard that I did trim eventually...

 then I put a mum and a pumpkin in it.. I need to go out there and get it ready for SPRING...

in October 2013 I had a card game week with Xander and Seban here are some of the games that we played and learned. I orderd a nice three pack of cards off Amazon.com from the brand name Melissa and Doug. I was very pleased with them and happy with the quality and durability.

  I taught the boys "go fish" 

 Here is Xander with the cards that we had made our "pond" that you would "go fish" out of.

We took the cards to the park and taught their friends.

 plus I made a collage.

 I made another collage on this day when we played animal rummy. I have to admit it was the first time that I had played rummy. 

 the boys liked that game.

 Things got WAY CRAZY.. when I taught them SLAP JACK! 

 at first Seban said I scared him when I shouted "slap jack" but then he got into it and before long he was shouting "slap jack" 

slap jack got so interesting that I could barely get a picture of it! 

 here is another try.

 

They had a lot of fun "card game" week.. and I never realized how patiant my dad was all those years ago when he taught my brother Brad and I how to play cards... 

I bet he thought it was worth it though.. cause I sure did! 

Keli Travels

 SIn October 2013 I planned a hiking trip to a place in Leesburg called Red Rocks Regional Overlook Park.  I have no idea why the red or the rocks part of the name.

The only person that showed up was a girl named Rachel and I had Spike with me. It was a nice short hike. 

There was one part where it overlooked the Potomac and that was neat.

There are also some ruins there and I have gone to them and taken pictures before.
