Enrichment Idea: last night we had a back to school night
we each got a folder, a name tag, a pencil, a pen and a marker that we can use in the future to mark our scriptures. In each folder was a paper for each subject to take notes if we took notes on all the subjects at the end Jonette gave us a sticker!!!!!!!
first subject was English where Jonette talked about books and reading and how we find good books and how some books are right for some people and some are right for others. Jonette gave us homework that we each have to read one book by Dec. If we are an avid reader we have to read one book that is not in the genre that we usually read by Dec.
second subject was History, Thom Smith talked to us about family history and what we could do with that and going to the temple more. Thom gave us homework of signing into the new family search website within a week
third subject was Math, Rachel Karren talked to us about saving money and investing in CD's and getting out of debt
fourth subject was Science, Amy Prestwich talked to us about cooking and we were able to make chocolate and regular crepes.
fifth subject, Reading Jonette talked to us again about reading 20 minutes a day and how we need to put our scriptures first before reading anything else, or listning to church stuff in the car or off your computer
we then went each got a tray and got our school lunch which was mostly produce from peoples gardens and a chocolate milk from Gossners and as many crepes as you wanted :)
